Ramos once again presents what appears to be a regular gentleman selling slippers. Here, the subject is going about his normal day, his eyes clearly feeling the strain of the basket he has to carry yet still able to give off a semblance of a smile, perhaps to tell the viewer he’s doing ok. We all know this feeling, smiling through adversity, we continue carrying on day by day despite the weight of our problems.
